York
The city of York is a firm favourite for a couple of nights’ stay. The iconic York Minister is a must-visit as well as the famous cobbled streets like The Shambles. Explore where Guy Fawkes used to spend his time and there are so many food and drink establishments, you really can have a wonderful time!
Haworth
Home of the famous Bronte literary family, Haworth is a picturesque West Yorkshire village. With Main Street situated on the famous cobbled hill, you can visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum to learn more about the family. Whilst there, there is an array of independent shops, pubs and cafes.
Ilkley
The famous Ilkley Moor overlooks the town of Ilkley. Park at The Cow and Calf for some incredible views before heading down into Ilkley to visit one of the many independent cafes and restaurants.
Yorkshire Three Peaks
Not for the faint-hearted, you can walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks in one day, individually or just visit the area and look up at them. Within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Yorkshire Three Peaks takes in Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent and walking them all is a big challenge. Itβs rewarding once you have been to the summit of them all though!
Swaledale
Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales consists of lots of traditional Yorkshire villages. There are some epic walks, traditional country pubs and miles of rolling hills. Itβs a beautiful part of Yorkshire to spend some time taking in the fresh Yorkshire air.
Harrogate
The spa town of Harrogate is full of restaurants and bars which makes it ideal for a night or two away. Of course, not only can you visit the spa but there is the RHS Garden Harlow Carr and plenty of shops too.
Skipton
The market town of Skipton is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and it is worth a stop if you are heading into the dales. Skipton continues to have the market a few times a week, as well as restaurants and pubs to enjoy.
Saltaire
The village of Saltaire is home to Salts Mill and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Sir Titus Salt built the village for his mill workers and now the mill has art galleries, independent shops and a diner. The village of Saltaire also has plenty of cafes and shops to visit or you can take a walk along the canal.
Wensleydale
Wensleydale is another area of the Yorkshire Dales and is home to the Wensleydale Creamery for some amazing cheese! You can also visit the town of Hawes and take in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside within the area.
Ingleton
The village of Ingleton is home to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail which has some stunning waterfalls on the walk. Once you have taken in the waterfalls, visit the local cafes and restaurants and enjoy this Yorkshire village for a night or two.
